Baltimore Heirs: The Last Deed Undone — SOS Fund Documentary

“Baltimore Heirs: The Last Deed Undone” is a 2026 SOS Fund–produced documentary examining the crisis of heirs’ property in Baltimore and its impact on Black families
About the film
Directed and written by Jewel Guy, this 45‑minute documentary investigates how tangled property titles, predatory property systems, tax sales, and generations of inequitable housing policies have led to the loss of family homes, land, and wealth in historically Black Baltimore communities. It blends deeply personal stories with historical analysis to reveal the systemic roots of displacement and the urgent need for estate planning and property rights reform
The SOS Fund describes it as a powerful documentary that highlights the “hidden crisis” of heirs’ property and its lasting effects on Black families.
