Fresh at the Avenue, a program of The No Boundaries Coalition, is hosting its 2nd Sip & Sauté fundraiser in celebration of 5 years of fresh food access in Sandtown. The interactive cooking class will feature an interactive cooking demo by phenom Chef Heather Smith owner of Blacksmiths. Wine pairings for each course provided by one of Baltimore’s newest wine shop Off the Rox. Proceeds from this inaugural event will support Fresh at the Avenue, a weekly community-powered produce market as well as No Boundaries Coalition's general operations.

No Boundaries Coalition, a resident-led advocacy organization serving Central West Baltimore, is known widely for its work in community policing and accountability. For the past five years, No Boundaries Coalition has operated Fresh at the Avenue located within the historic Avenue Market in the heart of Pennsylvania Avenue Mainstreet and which is also the Black Arts & Entertainment District.

“Amidst school mergers, demolitions of public housing, and the living museum of the ‘68 and ‘15 riots ever present in Sandtown, Fresh at the Avenue is unique in its ability to meet the community identified need for fresh fruits and vegetables in a dignified shopping environment,” says Director of Health and Food Justice, Saché Jones.
